RiverLit is a locally based arts publication featuring literature and art. It’s a printed publication and they are ramping up for an awesome 2014 with a new residency program where artists will be able to make a little money off the contributions they make. I think RiverLit is awesome. They are tasteful and consistent in their choices for visual art and I can always count on discovering something new and beautiful through their curation.
They need our help and I think we are just the folks that can get on board with this project to help make it happen. The more we can help projects like this grow, the more local artists can be motivated to stay in Spokane to pursue their craft because there’s actually opportunities to make a living. Here at Collect we are moving toward this in different ways and we think that the more each of us value the creations our community is outputting, the more our city will be a place artists can thrive.
