As if Volume fest and Elkfest weren’t enough, here’s another great festival featuring local and regional bands to add to your summer fun. This one is in Peaceful Valley (just below west downtown Spokane on the South side of the river) at Glover Field and is put on by KYRS. It should be family friendly with music, games, beer garden and food vendors…and it’s solar powered? How fitting for a PV neighborhood event. Going green, Spokane!
Finn Riggins is out of Boise, Idaho and are not only great musicians but some of the nicest people. Excited to have them back in Spokane. They play at 8:10pm
Menomena is the headliner at the festival. Some people I’ve talked to are a little leery of the new two piece formation of this Portland band. One of their pretty substantial members left and now fronts the band, Ramona Falls. I’ve yet to see them with the pared down lineup but I think it will be worth it to check it out and see for ourselves. I’m sure they will play some crowd favorite tunes from their 3-piece days. They are set to go on at 9:30.
