Karli IngersollHope Swell sent us their music a little while ago and I was immediately impressed by the quality of the sounds. I was dumbfounded when I discovered the creators behind Hope Swell are two 17 year olds living in Spokane.
They have a distinct grasp on using different sounds collectively to create a specific mood. From synths, midi-keyboards and field recordings, the two tracks on their bandcamp sound very uniquely and thoughtfully crafted. They reference a desire to create a nostalgic feel with their music. It’s also dreamy, ambient, reflective and has the kind of grooves that make you want to take a drive, open the windows and turn up the volume.
