Spokane is full of amazing designers, specifically graphic designers, illustrators and letterers. Something I probably don’t need to tell you since you are reading this blog. But lately I’ve seen a growing confidence and it seems like designers are stepping out more often, teaming up with local businesses, or just playing around in their own time and making Spokane even more beautiful in the process. Here’s some of the awesome designs I’ve seen lately.
David Waters, aka Loose Germs has the photoshop chops to make every designer jealous. He’s always working on new portraits and I particularly liked this one of Grimes. You can see more of his work here and here on Collect.
Aaron is behind the awesome prints of Tiny Mammoth ink, which was a HUGE hit at Bazaar over the weekend. It was rad to see his work around town recently on a poster for West Central’s Market.
Eric Smith recently shared his new letter-pressed business cards on Dribbble…hot damn.
Jacob Greif got a sweet illustration job for The Occasional (Funny or Die’s online journal). Check the full article for the fun animations that go with each character.
Joel Barbour has created another awesome logo for Chase Halland (faraway lovely) in his new goods project with Toby Keough…another hit at Bazaar.
John Mujica made this awesome logo to submit for the Spokane arts month…a new, exciting project from Spokane Arts. It was submitted into a logo contest and unfortunately got beat out by Tiffany Patterson, who is also awesome…but I thought the clock tower/pencil was pretty genius. The winning logo -> here.
Katie Irvin (Design by Katie) is launching a new brand creation studio under the title, The Makery Design Shop. Can’t wait to see more of this.
Tiffany Patterson is a mad-woman constantly putting out stunning illustrations, coloring books, paintings and other beautiful work. I don’t think there’s anyone we’ve posted more of on Collect than her work. This new Mama Doll tshirt just couldn’t slip past without some applause from us.
And of course this hip poster by Nick Tibbetts. It just screams summer jam.
But seriously? How amazing are these artists? I’m pretty inspired by them.
