Karli IngersollWhen local artists of any medium establish an online presence, I exclaim with joy, “FINALLY!” One thing Spokane artists and musicians notoriously hesitate to do is publish their work online. Why? From my experience it usually is because they think it’s not good enough. BUT, one of the awesome things about putting yourself out there is getting a little positive reinforcement from your community. We are all in progress with art, but that doesn’t mean what we have created isn’t a valuable chapter in our storybook that other people need to see.
Devon Plopper is one of those local artists in hiding. She’s studied fine art, design and printmaking at Whitworth and I heard a rumor she’ll be showing work at Coeur soon.
