Our first secret show was such a great success, I knew we had to continue these intimate showcases not just for the performers…but for our readers. If you weren’t at the last show, check out this recap we wrote up. We’ve also still got some video footage in the editing stages of the bands who performed last time. I’ll share those as soon as they are complete.

For this show on December 1st, we have a fantastic folk driven lineup. Our co-headliners are the most recent Collect Sessions band, Cold Mountain Yeti and Max Harnishfeger of Cathedral Pearls. Cold Mountain Yeti has given us a little preview already of what their set will be like, while Max is exploring some brand new territory sans his usually indie-rock 4-piece. We expect some CP favorites, but also some new material from him. Whatever the song choices, Max always puts on a moving performance with an outstanding vocal range and captivating lyrics. And I’m not bias at all.
Also on the bill are two new songwriters just beginning to get some foothold in Spokane, Duke Hogue and Jesse MacDonald. Duke has an intimate, expressive storytelling vibe to his songs while Jesse’s tunes have a jangley blues driven foundation. All four acts are similar, yet bring very unique traits to the table. One thing we know for sure is they are all perfect for a huddled and hushed gathering of listeners in our next secret location.
There will be giveaways, probably another instagram competition, maybe some hot-cocoa and who knows…a Christmas carol? We will document with photos and video, but whatever happens…a front row seat is a much better view than behind the screen later, so don’t hesitate to grab a ticket now.
